Online, or electronic, applications are completed on a company website career page or through recruitment advertising networks; ‘Indeed’ being one of the most popular. The online process allows you to display your skills in more creative and appealing ways.
The downside to these application forms is they are very time consuming and put people off applying for the position.
One of the most important sections on these applications is employment history, where you must add a brief description of responsibilities, experience and knowledge gained. And you must ensure your most recent position has the most detail.
Recruitment managers are interested in areas of your employment history that are most relevant to them. You must ensure that you highlight and elaborate on any information which is relevant to the advertised position.
